ഒരു താടി മാത്രമല്ല
കിടാവിനെ തോളേറ്റി
പറക്കുന്ന
വാത്സല്യത്തിന്റെ
പല്ലില്ലാ ചിരി കൂടെ
ഒരു മരം വായിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നു.

സമുദ്ര നിരപ്പിൽ നിന്നും പതിനയ്യായിരം
അടി മുകളിൽ തനിച്ചു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ,
കാറ്റിന്റെ ചൂളം വിളികളിൽ
ഞാൻ ബന്ധിതനാവുന്നു.
മേഘപാളികളുടെ തിരതല്ലലിൽ
ഞാനന്ധനാവുന്നു.
നിശ്ശബ്ദതയുടെ അഗാധതയിൽ
ഞാൻ മൂകനാവുന്നു!
