നടുരാത്രി
അപ്പന്റെ വിരലിൽ തൂങ്ങി
കുഞ്ഞി കാലടി
തത്തി തത്തി
ഒരു വാവ
നടക്കാൻ പഠിക്കുന്നു.
ആകാശവും നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളും
കൂടെ തത്തുന്നു.

ലളിതമായി പറഞ്ഞാൽ
ആ യുവാവിന്റെ
മരണ കുറിപ്പിൽ
താനൊരു മാവോയിസ്റ്റെന്നും
ജീവിതം മടുത്തു
അത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്യുന്നുവെന്നും
രേഖപെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു.
