ഇനിയുമേറെ ദൂരമുണ്ട് തീരമൊന്നണയുവാൻ,
ഇനിയുമേറെ നേരം ഞാൻ തുഴഞ്ഞിടേണമാഴിയിൽ.
അങ്ങകലെക്കണ്ടിടുന്നു തീരമെന്ന സ്വപ്നവും,
കൈ കുഴഞ്ഞു പോയിടുന്നു ഞാൻ തളർന്നു പോകുമോ?

ഏകാന്തമായൊരെൻ ജീവിത വഴിയിൽ,
എങ്ങോ കണ്ടുമുട്ടി ഞാൻ നിന്നെയും.
എന്തിനെന്നറിയില്ലായെൻ മിഴികൾ,
നിൻ മനോമുകുരത്തിലലിഞ്ഞു പോയി.

അഴലുന്ന ഭൂതലം തന്നിൽ.
അതിരുകൾ കടന്നു നീയണഞ്ഞു,

ഉറക്കെട്ടു പോയൊരീ മനസ്സിൽ ,
ഉറവയായ്മാറി നിൻ സ്പർശനം.

അല്ല കൊലചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു
ചുറ്റിനും തണുത്തുറഞ്ഞ നിശ്ശബ്ദത
സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രയാണം
ചിറക് വിടർത്തി പറക്കാനൊരുങ്ങവെ
തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നു വീണ്ടും കെട്ടുപാടിന്റെ
ബന്ധനം, ഇനിയും തീരാത്ത ബന്ധനം.
