നിറമാറിലമരുന്നെൻ അണിവിരലും.
ഉദ്വേഗമോടെ കഴിഞ്ഞിടുമ്പോൾ
മോദമുണർത്തുമെൻ അംഗുലീയകം.
ഓടിത്തളരുമ്പോൾ ഓർമ്മിച്ചിടാം,
ഓർമ്മയിലെന്നും സൂക്ഷിച്ചിടാം.

പുലർകാലരാവിലെ പുതുമഴപോൽ,
പൂവമ്പനെ ഞാൻ കാത്തിരുന്നു.
പുതുപൂക്കളെങ്ങും പൂവണിഞ്ഞു,
പുതുമലർ ഗന്ധം തങ്ങിനിന്നു.
കരളിലെയാശയുണർന്നു മെല്ലെയെൻ,
മോഹങ്ങൾ സ്വപ്നച്ചിറകിലേറി.

അപ്പൂപ്പൻതാടിയിൽ
ഒരു താടി മാത്രമല്ല
കിടാവിനെ തോളേറ്റി
പറക്കുന്ന
വാത്സല്യത്തിന്റെ
പല്ലില്ലാ ചിരി കൂടെ
ഒരു മരം വായിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നു.

സമുദ്ര നിരപ്പിൽ നിന്നും പതിനയ്യായിരം
അടി മുകളിൽ തനിച്ചു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ,
കാറ്റിന്റെ ചൂളം വിളികളിൽ
ഞാൻ ബന്ധിതനാവുന്നു.
മേഘപാളികളുടെ തിരതല്ലലിൽ
ഞാനന്ധനാവുന്നു.
നിശ്ശബ്ദതയുടെ അഗാധതയിൽ
ഞാൻ മൂകനാവുന്നു!
