ഐകമത്യത്തിൻ പ്രതീകമായിരുന്നതൊരു കാലം.
ഓർക്കുന്നു ഞാൻ പോയിമറഞ്ഞൊരെൻ ബാല്യകാലവും
ഒത്തൊരുമയോടെ നാം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നൊരാ നല്ല നാളുകളും.

വീർത്തു വിളറിയിരിക്കുന്നു നോക്കുകിൽ;
മധുപനെക്കാണാത്തതിൻ സങ്കടമോ,
അതോ സഹസ്രാംശു നിന്നെയിന്നു നോക്കാത്തതിനാലോ!
