ഇനിയുമേറെ നേരം ഞാൻ തുഴഞ്ഞിടേണമാഴിയിൽ.
അങ്ങകലെക്കണ്ടിടുന്നു തീരമെന്ന സ്വപ്നവും,
കൈ കുഴഞ്ഞു പോയിടുന്നു ഞാൻ തളർന്നു പോകുമോ?

ചുറ്റിനും തണുത്തുറഞ്ഞ നിശ്ശബ്ദത
സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രയാണം
ചിറക് വിടർത്തി പറക്കാനൊരുങ്ങവെ
തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നു വീണ്ടും കെട്ടുപാടിന്റെ
ബന്ധനം, ഇനിയും തീരാത്ത ബന്ധനം.
