ബാല്യകാലത്തിൽത്തന്നെ സത്യത്തെത്തന്നാ -
ത്മാവിൽ ചേർത്തുപിടിച്ചു നിർഭീകനായി
താതന്റെ മൃത്യു തന്നിലേല്പിച്ചതാമാ -
ഘാതം തീരാത്ത ശോകമായിത്തീർന്നില്ലേ!

നടപ്പാതകളില്ലാതിരുന്ന പുരയിടങ്ങൾ
വിരളമായിരുന്നൊരു കാലം നമുക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
