അനിയന്ത്രിതമായവൾ കടന്നുവന്നു.
ജാലകത്തിൽ മറഞ്ഞിരുന്നവൾ,
തിരശ്ശീല മെല്ലെ വകഞ്ഞുനീക്കി.
മകരമഞ്ഞിൻ ശീതളച്ഛായയിൽ,
മാകന്ദപ്പൂക്കൾ വിടർന്നിടുന്നു.

നറു വെട്ടം തൂകി ആകാശ മണ്ഡലത്തിൽ
കണ്ണു ചിമ്മി നിൽക്കുന്ന താരകങ്ങൾ പോൽ,
നിസ്വാർത്ഥ; നിസ്തുല്യ സേവനം ചെയ്തു ജീവിതം

പൊലിയുന്നപകലിൽ ആത്മദുഃഖത്തിൽ,
കനിവിനായ് ഞാൻ നിന്നരികിൽവന്നു.
തോരാത്ത കണ്ണീരിൻ നീർക്കുടങ്ങൾ,
താഴികക്കുടങ്ങളായ് ചമക്കുന്നു നീ.
അടയുന്നവാതിലും പതറുന്നവഴികളും,
