ഒരുസ്വരംമാത്രം ശ്രവിക്കുന്നുവിന്നും,
ഒത്തിരി കണ്ണുനീർ വീഴ്ത്തിടുന്നു.
ഒരു ദുഖ:സാഗരമാകുന്നുവെന്നും
നിൻ ഓർമ്മകൾ തങ്ങുമെന്നന്തരംഗം.
ഹൃദയകവാടം തുറന്നുതരൂ,
നിൻ കനിവിനാലെന്നെ കരകയറ്റൂ.

കണ്ണാടിയുണ്ടായിട്ടെന്തു കാര്യം,
കദനത്തിൻ കാഴ്ചകൾ
കാണുവാനെപ്പോഴും
മനസ്സാകും കണ്ണാടി തന്നെ വേണം!
കണ്ണിൽക്കാണുന്നതാവില്ല സത്യം
സത്യത്തിൽ മുഖമതു,
കണ്ണിൽത്തെളിയുവാൻ
ദയയാർന്നൊരുൾക്കണ്ണു കൂടി വേണം!
