എന്റെ സ്വപ്നശീർഷത്തി-
ലൊരു കാലടിവെച്ചു
പാതാളഗർഭത്തിലേക്കെന്നെ-
യമർത്തിയ ദേവാധിദേവന്റെ തൃക്കാലടി,
ഇനിയൊരു കളങ്കത്തിൻ
കാളിമ എന്നിൽപ്പതിക്കാത്ത
സ്നേഹസംരക്ഷണം!

ഇനിയെങ്ങോട്ടെന്നുള്ളയൊരു ചോദ്യമിന്നേതു
സമയത്തും മനസ്സിൽ, പൊങ്ങിവരാം നിശ്ചയം!
പ്രായമേറി രോഗങ്ങൾ ബാധിച്ചു കായബലം
പാടേ കുറഞ്ഞു ശക്തിയില്ലാതായി മാറിടാം.

സ്വർഗ്ഗനരകങ്ങളുണ്ടെന്നുചൊല്ലുന്നവർ
സ്വപ്നത്തിലല്ലാതെയിതെല്ലാംകണ്ടതുണ്ടോ
ജീവിതം ഭൂമിയിൽമാത്രമെന്നറിയാത്ത
പാവങ്ങൾ ചിന്തകൻമാരെന്നു നടിക്കുന്നു!

പാതിരാമഴ പനിനീർകണങ്ങളായ് ,
പെയ്തിറങ്ങി രാവിൽ.
ഹദയസരോവരം നീരണിഞ്ഞു
നിൻ നിതാന്ത ദുഃഖത്തിൻ നടുവിൽ.
നീർമിഴിയിൽ പൂത്തുവിടർന്നു,
നീലത്താമരദളങ്ങൾ.

പൂനിലാവു പുഞ്ചിരിച്ചു നിൽക്കുന്ന രാവിന്റെ
സൗന്ദര്യമിഷ്ടപ്പെടാത്തവരുണ്ടോയിവിടെ!
പ്രലേയബിന്ദുക്കളിറ്റിറ്റു വീഴുന്ന നിശയെ,
പ്രണയിക്കാത്തതായിട്ടാരെങ്കിലുമുണ്ടോ!

യുദ്ധമുഖത്തെയാ കുഞ്ഞിന്റെ കൺകളിൽ
ഒരു മാൻകിടാവിന്റെ ഭയമുണ്ട്!
ആ കണ്ണുകളിലലയാഴി ആർത്തിരമ്പുന്നുണ്ട്,
ഹൃദയത്തിലുയരുന്ന നരകാഗ്നിയുണ്ട്!
ആ കണ്ണുകളിലായിരം ചോദ്യങ്ങളുണ്ട്,
കഴുകന്റെ ചിറകിന്റെ ഭീതിയുണ്ട്!

മറന്നുപോയൊരെൻ മണികിനാനാവിൽ,
അനുഭൂതിയായവൾ വന്നിറങ്ങി.
മറക്കുവാൻതുനിഞ്ഞ മനസ്സിൽനീയൊരു
മന്ദാരമലരായ് വന്നണഞ്ഞു.
